Wildlife:  Can be a food source for many mammals, including deer.  Great pollen source for bees in early spring.  Tree tubes may be needed to protect the bark on the tree.  Rodents and rabbits often enjoy eating the bark off the tree.

This tree produces apples that are great for a variety of uses; eating, preserves, pie, and applesauce.  Yellow Delicious apples also store well.  They will keep for 3-4 months in refrigeration.  The fruit is a nice golden color with a sweet white flesh.  This dwarf variety needs a compatible pollinator within 20′ for fruit production.  Check the Apple Pollination Chart to find compatible pollinators.
